Recently, LCEPRI and 14 other non-governmental organizations participated in the 16 Days of Activism to end killings and violence against women and children. This initiative is a powerful reminder of the ongoing need to address gender-based violence and protect vulnerable members of our communities. By uniting diverse organizations under a common goal, the campaign not only raises awareness but also advocates for concrete measures to ensure safety and justice for women and children worldwide

On February 1, 2025, Ms Muza Michael Mshighwa, the Executive Director of LCEPRI, was awarded a certificate qualifying her to train others in sustainable VICOBA methodologies. With its community-based approach, VICOBA has served as a vital platform for low-income households to access essential financial services—including savings, credit, and insurance—critical to fostering economic resilience and development. Encouraging youth and women to join sustainable VICOBAs remains one of the most effective strategies for advancing grassroots economic empowerment, enabling communities to build self-reliance and chart their own pathways to prosperity.
